DTA Posse and VXRSI present the “TRVST” tank. The result of a collaborative effort between the us and DTA/Rogue Status, which came about after recognizing some parallels regarding core values, as well as taking original stances within each of our respective sports/subcultures; DTA representing skate, and VXRSI with fight culture. The tank, on both black and white offerings, combines iconography from both camps on the front, as well as both brand logos on the back, will be available as part of VXRSI’s Spring 2012 collection and at a retailer near you. VXRSI was onhand at NABJJF All-America’s BJJ tourney in LA. Being one of the most consistent tournaments in the LA area, the event had a huge turnout around 700 competitors of all ages and experience levels as well as thousands of fans and spectators. From sun up to sun down, the all-gi action was impressive as great exhibitions of skill and sportsmanship reigned throughout the Sunday tourney. Some of the regions and the nation’s best Brazilian JiuJitsu teams were represented including Nova Uniao, Gracie Barra, Lotus Club, ATOS, Selva Army, and many more and the competition was definitely fierce. Also, some of the worlds best BJJ athletes and stars like Andre Galvao, Gustavo Dantas, Lucas Leite, Giva Santana, Rubens “Cobrinha” Charles, Fabio Nagao, and Cleber Luciano,  were present coaching and rooting for students and teammates alike.

One of VXRSI Team’s newest additions John Owning (Nova Uniao/Gustavo Dantas) impressed as he dominated a stacked men’s blue belt division. With stifling positioning and a superior control, John swept the bracket onto his way to picking up a gold medal, and definitely establishing himself as someone to watch going into the Pan Ams and Worlds in the upcoming months.

VXRSI was definitely honored to be present at another great event by the team at the NABJJF and all the fight fam that came by the booth and welcomed us once again in So Cal! We’ll be looking forward to the next event in March!

RT America interviewed UFC/Pride/ADCC/everything in between veteran/grappling legend/and proud anarchist, Jeff “The Snowman” Monson, about his political views yesterday and was also sporting one of our favorite tees, the VXRSI Epic tee. While we’re not terribly political ourselves, we do however, all agree on two things: Jeff has taste in fight culture tees and could twist most people into a pretzel.
